Hyperion B Backsheet Product Line

The standard in quality and performance, these Tedlar® based laminates are manufactured with the highest quality dielectric (PET). This line is offered in B500, the <1000VDC systems, and the B1000, for PV systems requiring >1000VDC.

Hyperion TPT - PVF/PET/PVF

  • Long time industry standard construction.
  • Hyperion TPT is a white polyvinyl fluoride / polyethylene terephthalate / white polyvinyl fluoride based product that provides superb electrical, physical, thermal, and barrier properties. Hyperion TPT is engineered for use in photovoltaic backsheet applications.

Hyperion EPE - EVA/PET/EVA

  • A superior bonding laminate for masking and outlining PV cells and interconnects.

  • Hyperion EPE is a laminate of polyethylene with 4-6% VA / polyethylene terephthalate / polyethylene with 4-6% VA engineered for internal masking and backsheets for photovoltaic modules. Available in white, black, clear, and custom colors.

Hemera B Backsheet Product Line

Hemera B i
s a line of backsheets based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). These backsheets are designed as an alternative for PV manufactures. Hemera is offered in a <1000 VDC line and a >1000VDC line.

Hemera GPG - PVDF/PET/PVDF

Layer Descriptions:

PVDF Layer (polyvinylidene fluoride)

  • Good resistance to hydrolysis
  • Protects module and dielectric from ultraviolet (UV)
  • Prevents environmental deterioration
  • Excellent environmental release of dust, dirt, smog, etc.

EVA Layer (ethylene/vinyl acetate)

  • Lamination to PET for maximum bond to encapsulants
  • Excellent bond strength compared to primers


PET Layer (polyethylene terephtalate) 

  • Laminate to PVDF or EVA for superior adhesion
  • Extends longevity allowing for products that will endure for decades  

Intra-laminate Adhesive 

  • Excellent bonding strength
  • Very high melt point for ease of module lamination
  • Extremely durable and engineered for outdoor environment

 

Hyperion – G Top sheets Product line

 

FilmFront sheet films made from ECTFE are used in lieu of glass to reduce the weight of photovoltaic (PV) modules or to allow the construction of flexible PV modules. The front sheet serves as a protective barrier for the interior components. Critical film requirements include low water vapor permeation and excellent UV resistance, a high degree of visible light transmission,

service life from 10 to 25 years and, in some cases, increased mechanical impact strength.

Hyperion G film product line, produced by GPF Solar is a strong, hard, tough, abrasion resistant film that retains its useful properties over a broad range of temperatures. This film exhibits outstanding low temperature properties, especially those related to impact. The film delivers good tensile, flexural and wear resistance properties. In addition, it has demonstrated excellent weathering properties and is extremely resistant to UV radiation and common industrial and environmental pollutants.
